Tagish Community Library Update

Tagish Mobile Library—a temporary solution to provide library services in Tagish—will officially begin on Wednesday, August 6th, and run through the end of September. For more information, see the Tagish Library home page.

March 20, 2025.

The Tagish Community Centre fire resulted in a total loss of the building. Library services, which were housed in the Community Centre, are on hold until further notice. We ask for your patience at this time while we work with the library staff and community to restore library services.

Temporary new hours at Whitehorse Public Library

July 17, 2025

Due to staffing shortages, Whitehorse Public Library will be operating at slightly reduced hours. Expect these hours to be in effect for the next six to eight weeks.

Current hours are:

Monday: 12 pm to 6 pm

Tuesday to Sunday: 10 am to 6 pm except Sunday, July 27 and August 3: 1 to 5 pm

Library card holders can continue to access digital resources anytime, and new users can sign up for a library card online.
